A man and an old dog walk through the park sans leash. The man pauses to look at a bird. The old dog pauses, too. Then, the old dog looks up at the man as if to say,
“Shouldn’t you put the dog leash on me now? I don’t really trust myself in this park. I mean, it is kind of small and there are streets on every side with cars driving up and down the streets. There is just no telling which one will hit and kill me. I am sure to be distracted and die. I’m a dog, okay? I just follow my nose even if my nose leads me under a passing vehicle. So, I would just prefer if you would go ahead and put the leash on me so that we can have a stress-free walk in the park, okay? Please, can you do that for me?”
